Workshop proposals are now open for next year's Spring into Methods programme, a collaboration between SGSAH & SGSSS which brings together arts, humanities, social science, and other doctoral researchers from across Scotland to offer sessions providing an in-depth approach to learning specific research methods. SGSAH & SGSSS invite proposals from members of staff in any of the affiliated HEIs to provide this training which will be offered with our support. Deadline: Friday 31st January 2025

EARTH Scholarships are back! This is a unique programme delivered by SGSAH & British Council Scotland that will provide scholarships for environmental Arts & Humanities researchers from around the globe to undertake research placements in Scotland for up to 3 months. Our 2025 EARTH Scholars will harness the unique power of Arts, Humanities & Science to address climate change

We work with our core partners to plan and deliver unique training and skills development opportunities, including training, mentoring schemes, internship projects, and leadership programmes.
SGSAH supports and develops PhD research across the full range of Arts & Humanities subjects. From 2021, it has also designated a set of Strategic Themes and Priority Areas. Click to find out more
