Spring into Methods 2025 - Workshop proposals now open

Workshop proposals are now open for next year's Spring into Methods programme, a collaboration between SGSAH & SGSSS which brings together arts, humanities, social science, and other doctoral researchers from across Scotland to offer sessions providing an in-depth approach to learning specific research methods. SGSAH & SGSSS invite proposals from members of staff in any of the affiliated HEIs to provide this training which will be offered with our support. Deadline: Friday 31st January 2025

The Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities (SGSAH) in partnership with the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science (SGSSS) have officially launched the 2025 edition of the Spring into Methods programme, with proposals for workshops now being open until 31 January 2025.
The Spring into Methods programme brings together arts, humanities, social science, and other doctoral researchers from across Scotland to offer sessions providing an in-depth approach to learning a specific research method for up to 15 hours. SGSAH & SGSSS have relaunched the programme for 2025 with the ambition of innovating and moving to learning experiences that fuel our students’ ambitions and widen their horizons.
SGSAH and SGSSS warmly invite proposals from members of staff in any of the affiliated HEIs to provide this training which will be offered with support from both scottish graduate schools. Proposals for both in-person and online training sessions will be considered.
For delivery in Spring 2025 (21st April – 16th May), SGSAH/SGSSS are inviting applications for two types of events, Addressing Grand Societal Challenges and Interdisciplinary Research Training. More information about these event types can be found on our website.

For those interested in delivering these event types for Spring into Methods 2025, SGSAH is also hosting a short informal onine webinar on 4 December where prospective applicants will have the chance to ask questions and discuss ideas for potential training sessions.
