Research Interests:
My main research interests lie in Early-Modern Scottish history. I am particularly interested in change and continuity across the Medieval and Early-Modern periods, in terms of political, social, religious, cultural & economic developments. I am also interested in the changing role of government during this period, the relationship between government & locality and Scotland’s role in a wider European & international context.
Scholarships/ Awards/ Publications:
I won three academic prizes at Honours level & the last two years of my PhD are fully funded by the AHRC, through the Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities.
