Brought to you by the Creative Arts & Design Discipline+ Catalyst, this in-person workshop is for creative researchers interested in reaching out, connecting and working with collaborators in other fields. The workshop is led by David Overend (University of Edinburgh) and Laura Bissell (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), with performance artist Karen Christopher. It will introduce entanglement as a methodology for interdisciplinary creative research, presenting examples from previous projects. Participants will then be invited to participate in a practical workshop that introduces a series of methods for entangling their work. The aim is to provide participants with tools that they can use in their own projects. This session will involve collaborative performance making but will be relevant to doctoral students in any creative discipline.
Additional Event
The facilitators have also secured a performance slot at the CCA (following the SGSAH Research Showcase reception on the 22nd) at 7pm as part of the Present Futures programme. This will be a practical exploration/exposition of specific aspects of the summer school session. Present Futures have offered discounted tickets to SGSAH Entangled Methods workshop participants for the 3 days of their festival.
