Dr Darcey Gillie

About this Session

This is a relaxed group session of career storytelling and career reimagining as we collaborate, question, and challenge the status quo of what a successful career looks like. Anything can happen in life, and anything can happen in a careers cabaret – come along with your questions, your answers, stories/wisdom/advice from your own career experiences to date, come ready to share, or ready to listen and observe- and most definitely to share some crisps together.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session, participants will:

  • Experience alternative viewpoints on careers
  • Apply imagination and creativity to understanding labour markets
  • Access feedback, ideas, and inspiration from peers and a qualified careers professional
  • Build or strengthen relationships with peers based on trust and shared experience

Who might be interested?

PhD researchers at any stage of their career looking for inspiration and curious about how peers manage their careers.
