What is the Student-led Interdisciplinary Training Fund (Student-led ITF)?
The Student-led ITF supports new or distinctive initiatives addressing disciplinary and interdisciplinary training needs among doctoral researchers in the arts and humanities. It is designed to enable doctoral researchers to work collaboratively to develop training and strengthen peer communities across Scotland.
The Student-led ITF may support activity that enables doctoral researchers to:
- Develop or deliver training that is not viable for an individual institution to provide alone
- Develop or deliver accessible training that is innovative in scope, subject or delivery model
- Lead the development of research training in a specific discipline or interdisciplinary area
- Create strong, sustainable and inclusive peer networks
- Build capacity to identify, lead, manage and deliver training
- Develop experience and confidence in grant proposal writing.
Who can apply?
Applications must be led by doctoral researchers based at a SGSAH member HEI. Proposals must involve active collaboration across at least three SGSAH member HEIs, with one institution identified as the lead and administering HEI.
