The Royal Society of Edinburgh - Surveying the current major activities of Scottish Universities in the US

and will involve producing a report to help inform the RSE North America Working Group's US priorities and programme of work.

Location

Predominantly remote with in-person days at the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Project

The project is titled "Surveying the current major activities of Scottish Universities in the US" and it aims to provide a detailed overview of all current and recent major activities involving institutions in the USA and the Scottish Higher Education sector. The RSE is keen to support an intern with some knowledge of and connections to US organisations to carry out a systematic review of the collaborative activities (ongoing or recently completed in the last 2 years) of all Higher Education Institutions across Scotland.

The objective is to produce a report to help inform the RSE North America Working Group's US priorities and programme of work.

Outputs

1. A draft report distributed to the RSE North America Working Group membership (for comment, feedback and further suggestions).
2. A final report for the RSE North America Working Group and International Committee.
3. An oral presentation of the final report at an International Committee meeting.
4. Creation of a small directory of the ongoing activities.

Timescale

Application Deadline: 15th November 2024

Start date (or must start by): January or February 2025

End date (or must end by): October 2025

Project can be worked full time, part time or flexibly in blocks
