Project
The sections of this project are as follows:
A survey of our visitors to ascertain what they thought of value for money and experience.
Review of the interpretation materials on offer at Queen's Cross with recommendations as to how this might be improved (and examples of best practice within the sector). Liaise with ASVA etc.
Conduct a competitor analysis of the Visitor Attraction element of Mackintosh Queen's Cross - identifying the competitors - ie, which other historic buildings offer concert hire, wedding hire, meetings, filming, piano hire etc, What are their facilities in comparison to those at Queen's Cross and around a dozen other venues (on a Glasgow and Scottish level).
Outputs
1. We may ask a researcher to 'delve deeper' into some specific items of commercial interest - it it may be that wedding hires is identified early on as a key area of opportunity, with a wider focus on that developing as a result.
2. We are looking for a written report, in detail, outlining the position of Mackintosh Queen's Cross as a venue for hire, in the context of other venues of a similar size and offering.
3. Review accessibility of written materials for children and families etc
4. Suggestions to the feasibility of a guide book/'coffee table' book to celebrate the building.
5. Recommendations as to how the building's story/CRM's story could be improved and enhanced for different audiences.
