- Roman, late antique and medieval archaeology in general (and in particular Italy and the Caucasus)
- Funerary archaeology
- Landscape archaeology
- Re-use and recycling in the archaeological record
- Portable material culture, particularly ancient and medieval glass (including Roman, Late Antique, Sasanian and Islamic glass)
- Archaeological excavation

2015 - present: Publication of late antique and medieval small finds and glass from the Archaeological Exploration of Barda, Azerbaijan (Oxford University)
2016 - present: Publication of late Roman glass from the late Roman villa at Polena Trocchia, Italy (Apolline Project).
