Two of the buzzwords that have accompanied much of the research and teaching activities across Higher Education have been diversity and decolonising. Frequently, they seem to be used interchangeably, as if they are the same thing. But is there something that is being lost in this equivalence? Is there a specificity to decolonisation, that is important, and that perhaps represents a different demand?
In this online, interactive session, we will tease out different definitions of these words, and use them to design research projects that would both help to diversify and decolonise knowledge production. In the process, we will scrutinise the EDI agenda in Higher Education, identify the forces that are driving it, and critically examine the opportunities and limitations it affords when it comes to designing a better, more equitable Higher Education.
Zoom links will be circulated to registrants prior to the event
